The group shared a special experience together after landing in LA.
BLACKPINK just wrapped the first two concerts on their BORN PINK World Tour in Seoul, and it has already been met with praise for its stunning production, electrifying stages, and of course, the group’s talented performances.

Before kicking off their world tour, they released their long-awaited second full-length album of the same name. They had been preparing for the album for nearly two years, as the track “Ready For Love” from the album was previewed in BLACKPINK’s 2020 Netflix documentary, BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky.
Having worked on the album for two years and eagerly awaited meeting BLINKS (BLACKPINK fans) in person again, nerves were high for the four members.
On the day of the album’s release, the group was in LA for their pop-up shop with Spotify.
The group shared they had been working extremely hard for the past few months wrapping up album preparations, so when it came time for the release, Rosé hilariously compared the experience to the birth of a child.
With the pressure to release only the best after their break in promotions came an anxious feeling knowing that fans were anticipating the album. Rosé shared she personally faced anxiety over the release.
I personally do get a bit of anxiety because we have so much hope for it and everything; we worked so hard on it.

Before they began their official promotions after the album’s release, the group landed in LA, went to Universal Studios theme park the same night, and stayed until two in the morning. The amusement park was holding its annual Halloween Horror Nights, which was surprisingly a welcomed escape from reality for the members after their hard work.
Jennie shared that she enjoyed Halloween Horror Nights because it’s unlike anything they can experience in Korea. For her, it felt like she was amusingly inside a horror movie.
Rosé expressed her gratitude that the group was able to experience that night together, where they forgot about the weight their album release carried and could just have fun.
So the fact that we’re here in LA and the fact that we went to Universal [Studios] all four of us I think that was a really special moment for us… We could kind of just forget about it for a little bit and just have a lot of fun and then come back to reality and promote it today.
— Rosé
Luckily, the group had nothing to worry about, as fans praised the powerful new album.
