Even before their official debut, NCT WISH started making waves under the name “NCT New Team.” They conducted a pre-debut tour, performing in nine cities across Japan, and released a non-album single titled “Hands Up” in 2023. This pre-debut exposure not only helped in building a fanbase but also provided the members with valuable stage experience.

The official debut of NCT WISH is scheduled for February 2024. Their debut single, “Wish,” will be released in both Korean and Japanese, signifying their dual focus on the Korean and Japanese markets. The debut is highly anticipated, as they are set to perform “Wish” during SM Entertainment’s in-house concert, SMTown Live 2024 SMCU Palace @Tokyo, at the Tokyo Dome on February 21 and 22.

The name “NCT WISH” stems from the catchphrase “Wish for Our Wish,” reflecting the group’s aspiration to support everyone’s wishes and dreams through their music and love. SM Entertainment has expressed that the band is determined to become a “Wish Icon,” sending strong hope and energy to music fans worldwide.
