“For an evil capitalist enterprise, sometimes I think SM genuinely hates money.”
Earlier this year, Red Velvet fans were excited by the announcement that the K-Pop group would be going on the R to V world tour that includes multiple stops in southeast Asia and Europe.
Despite the excitement, however, criticism soon arose after some details were released about the tour. Fans accused SM Entertainment of “severely underestimating” the girl group’s popularity with the small size of several of their venues, and more recently, they asked the label to postpone the tour because of Joy‘s hiatus due to poor health.
Now, the label has come under even more scrutiny for what seems to be poor planning for the European leg of the tour. Despite the first concert in Europe starting in just two weeks, tickets have yet to go on sale for any of the venues.
It was just announced earlier today that tickets for the London date will go on sale on May 11, but fans are upset by the fact that ticketing information (such as seating and prices) still hasn’t been shared.

Can we get an idea of the prices of tickets for each area!? I don’t fancy going in blind to buy a ticket

How are you going ahead without addressing our concerns nor releasing infor about seating and prices?

Congratulations, youve announced this so late that its now impossible for me to go, despite living a short train journey from the venue. Youve let so many luvies down, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Seriously, do you guys think we all just have unlimited money to book travel and accommodation with a few weeks notice, and the ability to get time off work at short notice?
— Amy (@LittleMiss_S) May 9, 2023
Giving us the ticketing time isn’t all the info, where is the seat plan (as mentioned in the tweet lol) and prices?
— claire (@johnhaos) May 9, 2023
Even more frustratingly, some of the venues allegedly haven’t even received information about the ticketing for Red Velvet’s concerts, or only just received it within the last couple of hours.
AFAS live (Amsterdam venue) regret to inform us they have yet to receive information regarding ticketing for Red Velvet’s R to V concert. The concert is happening in 27 days.#redvelvet4thconcert #RtoV pic.twitter.com/VDkGMfq5Qm

Fans of Red Velvet have taken to Reddit to vent their frustrations about the ordeal, blaming both SM Entertainment as well as the concert promoter behind the tour.

ReVeluvs just can’t understand why there would be so much disarray and lack of information for an act as big as Red Velvet, especially coming from such a huge label with so many resources and plenty of experience in touring.

Fans feel like this tour was far too last-minute, and that it should have been postponed to a later date that worked better for everyone.

Some who had planned to go to one of the concerts are now saying that they won’t be able to due to the last-minute nature of the event, which is heartbreaking to hear.

We hope that everything ends up working out in the end for those who want to attend Red Velvet’s tour, for the sake of fans and for the members themselves.
