SEVENTEEN‘s Hoshi has gained attention for his comments about marriage.
Recently, Hoshi appeared on a variety show with the concept of a tarot reader.
The host said he would answer questions about Hoshi with the use of the tarot cards, and at one point, it was explained that they would speak about marriage and whether Hoshi would get married in his 30s.
The host touched upon the taboo of idols and relationships straight away, explaining, “Fans who love Hoshi would love it if the cards give an unfavorable result.”
Hoshi was then asked if he had ever imagined his married life, and the idol said that he was focused on his work at the time.
But looking to the future, he shared his desires and also touched upon the fans.
If my fans could understand…If that happens, I’d want to go on family trips with my wife someday, like just doing things I can’t do now.
When the video was posted, netizens praised Hoshi for being so open about the topic of marriage. While some fans shared how they would be supportive when the time came, others thought it was sad that the idol had to speak about fans’ “understanding” when it came to his personal life and relationships.

Hoshi is so brave for asking questions about marriage when it’s very obvious that they’re currently at their peak as idols. I also love how he just really genuinely talks about having family. Being able to speak his thoughts without any worries just makes me appreciate him more.
