She follows stars like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Gigi Hadid, and Bella Hadid.
BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo has been announced as the new face of Self-Portrait, marking a series of significant firsts for both the K-Pop superstar and the London-based fashion house.
This collaboration places Jisoo among the ranks of previous Self-Portrait muses such as Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Gigi Hadid, and Bella Hadid, yet stands out as the brand’s first venture with a musician leading its accessible line since its inception in 2013.
Additionally, this campaign represents Jisoo’s first foray into contemporary fashion, following the announcement of her own label and agency, Blissoo, in February.
Self-Portrait’s founder and creative director, Han Chong, praised Jisoo in a press release, highlighting the campaign’s aim to showcase “her beauty, both inside and out.”
The partnership was unveiled through two new photos released by Self-Portrait — as well as an exclusive photo featuring a blue minidress provided to Billboard — taken by renowned photographer Yoon Ji Yong. Bringing his distinctive visual storytelling to this campaign, Yoon has worked with Jisoo before. He was the photographer for her 2023 ELLE Korea feature, as well as Jisoo’s ME solo album cover, according to Billboard.
In a press release received by Koreaboo, Han Chong talked about how Jisoo becoming the face of Self-Portrait seemed to be the natural next step in the years-long partnership between the BLACKPINK star and the London fashion house.
We first started working with Jisoo many years ago, dressing her both on and off the stage, so having her front our campaign was a natural next step – it encapsulates the trajectory of the relationships we strive to nurture with those that we are fortunate enough to work with.

In the photoshoot, Jisoo showcases an array of stunning pieces. According to the press release provided to Koreaboo, the pale-pink sequin minidress with black trim and the orange and pink rhinestone embellished minidress Jisoo is seen wearing are both part of the collection. Self-Portrait also confirmed that these items are now available globally online, in Self-Portrait stores, and through its international network of retailers.
As Jisoo steps into this new chapter, her collaboration with Self-Portrait not only cements her status as a fashion icon but also paves the way for more musicians to embrace the world of contemporary fashion.
The article has been updated to specify that an exclusive photo was provided to Billboard, while other information was provided to Koreaboo through a press release.
