He meant well…
Many BLINKs dream of meeting BLACKPINK‘s members in person, and some lucky fans do. Unfortunately, sometimes even the best-laid plans can end in disaster.
On September 24, Lisa’s agency, LLOUD, announced “Lisa Fan Meetup Asia 2024.” The tour will take place in several cities, including Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, and Hong Kong, from November 11 to November 19.
One dedicated BLINK reportedly begged her father to buy her tickets to Lisa’s Hong Kong fan meeting, the last stop on the tour. As any K-Pop fan knows, scoring tickets to an event, especially one for a star as popular as Lisa, is not easy. Even so, the fan’s father managed to get his hand on a ticket for his daughter — or so he thought.
It turns out that he didn’t buy tickets to Lisa’s fan meeting. He reportedly purchased tickets for an entirely different artist who is having a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum in November. The artist? Liza Wang, a 77-year-old actress and MC who has been nicknamed “The Big Sister” within the Hong Kong entertainment industry.
Needless to say, aside from their similar first names and the date of their events, Lisa and Liza don’t have much in common. The fan might not have been too excited to receive the wrong tickets, but hopefully, she’ll still have a great father-daughter day at Liza’s concert!
