TWICE‘s Nayeon and Chaeyoung were the latest guests on Lee Young Ji‘s popular My Alcohol Diary. In the episode, Lee Young Ji proved her love of TWICE, explaining that they’re icons in the industry.
Lee Young Ji: It’s really good. I think TWICE is necessary for the K-Pop industry. I’m serious because you know that each student has his/her own favorite idol of his/her time.
Nayeon: Was it us when you were in middle school?
Lee Young Ji: Yeah.
And TWICE showed that they’ve always appreciated Lee Young Ji as a fan, sharing that they’ve seen her dance covers.
Nayeon: My image of you is [from] “Alcohol-Free.” You were really good at it. You were the best among the people who covered.
Lee Young Ji even proved her extensive knowledge of TWICE by sharing what Jeongyeon said on Bubble, a messaging app, about TWICE’s anniversary.
Nayeon: It’s been nine months since we last came back, and nine of us all re-signed the contract.
Lee Young Ji: To celebrate that, Jeongyeon mentioned that you guys are like her family in the Bubble [app].
Because of the rapper’s impressive knowledge, Nayeon and Chaeyoung couldn’t help but be curious if Lee Young Ji is subscribed to them on Bubble.
Nayeon: You know a lot about us. Did you subscribe to our Bubble?
Lee Young Ji: Which one? I actually subscribed to Bubble.
After Lee Young Ji’s confirmation that she uses Bubble, Nayeon and Chaeyoung are immediately suspicious that she subscribed to Jeongyeon.
Chaeyoung: Oh really? Who?
Nayeon: Jeongyeon?
Before quickly realizing that Lee Young Ji isn’t subscribed to TWICE’s Bubble at all.
Chaeyoung: I’m sure it’s not us.
Nayeon: Oh it’s not us…
Eventually, Lee Young Ji reveals that she’s actually subscribed to NCT Mark‘s Bubble.
Chaeyoung: Who?
Lee Young Ji: NCT Mark.
Nayeon and Chaeyoung immediately reassure Lee Young Ji that they don’t mind that she’s not subscribed to theirs.
Nayeon and Chaeyoung: That’s fine.
When talking about subscribing to foreign celebrities’ Bubbles, if they ever made one, Lee Young Ji reveals the one message she sent to Mark.
Nayeon: Have you never tried sending?
Lee Young Ji: I tried. I just sent him a message saying “stay healthy.“
And even shares that she uses her name on the app instead of a nickname, so it feels like he’s addressing her directly.
Nayeon: What is your nickname?
Lee Young Ji: I used my actual name because when he reads the nickname he calls my name.
Lee Young Ji explains that NCT’s Jaehyun is especially good at using Bubble because of how he personalizes messages, leading fans to believe that at one point in time, the rapper may have been subscribed to different NCT members.
Lee Young Ji: Do you know that Jaehyun from NCT is really good at using Bubble? You usually say “Hello someone~” or “Hello Ms.~” but when I opened Bubble there is only a message written [as] “Youngji.“
But Lee Young Ji is an all too relatable fan when she explains that she was subscribed to NCT’s Bubble for so long that she grew “tired of [herself].”
Lee Young Ji: There was one moment when I was tired of myself. After subscribing to the NCT members’ Bubbles… By the way, I don’t have any personal feelings for them.
Nayeon: Of course, you are just a fan.
Lee Young Ji: Yeah I am just a fan. Anyway, there is usually a message that pops up saying “congrats for subscribing for 30 days or 50 days.” When the message for subscribing for 100 days popped up, I was tired of myself.
