Formed through the survival show NCT Universe : LASTART, the group consists of mostly Japanese members and has been teased by SM Entertainment for quite some time now.
Before they debut, however, they’re set to release the pre-debut single “Hands Up” on October 19, and these new teasers were shared in anticipation of that.
Along with two full-group pictures, several images were shared of each of the group’s members individually. First up is Sion, the oldest and leader of the group, and one of only two Korean members. Born on May 11, 2022, he’s 21 years old and was a trainee for four years.
The second-oldest member and oldest Japanese member of the group is Riku, who was born on June 28, 2003, making him 20. He was a trainee for just one year, and his role model is fellow NCT member Mark!
Next up is Yushi. He was born on April 5, 2004, making him 19 years old. He was a trainee for a whopping five years, and his role model is EXO‘s Kai. He actually wanted to become an idol after seeing EXO’s dancing!

The second-youngest member of the sub-unit is Ryo, who was born on August 4, 2007, making him 16 years old. He has been a trainee for a year, and the K-Pop idols he looks up to are NCT’s Doyoung and Haechan, and it was the former who made him want to become an idol himself.
Finally, Sakuya is the maknae of NCT NEW TEAM. Born on November 18, 2007, he’s just 15 years old, and has been training to be an idol for about a year. His role model is NCT’s Taeyong, and it was actually his parents who made him want to become an idol because they liked to listen to K-Pop.
