Things got quite dangerous for the idol.
SEVENTEEN‘s Jun departed from the Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Korea to attend a Gucci Ancora Pop-up Event in China…
…and found himself in a dangerous situation when he arrived.
While leaving Korea, Jun was well-guarded—and, though both Korean press and fans were present at the airport, things didn’t get too out of hand.
However, upon arriving in China, Jun was mobbed—to the point one Korean netizen referred it to be “zombie apocalyptic.”
Fans onsite shared photos and videos of the mobbing on Weibo, which then circulated via different social media platforms like X (former Twitter).

With little regard for personal space, fans ran up to Jun to grab photos of the idol—and terrified the idol in the process.
and atp its not even pledis’s fault cuz they provided EIGHT body guards and police offices and somehow you deranged fuckers still mobbed him 🙁 you’re really not gonna get your y/n moment if jun hates yall. LOOK AT HOW TIRED HE LOOKS. pic.twitter.com/Oh56tEphvj

As @svthamster commented, Jun was completely surrounded “despite having 8 bodyguards” with him.
saw someone said that JUN was MOBBED at the AIRPORT again despite having 8 BODY GUARDS! JUN stayed at the cubicle because of the situation. these people really need to learn their lesson. STOP spreading photos of jun that came from those who mobbed him!pic.twitter.com/8h6W2Z0BzO

Following the photos and videos, SEVENTEEN and other idol fans criticized the behavior. And as usual, the dangerous situation that put an idol at risk sparked some fierce debate over whether fans (and/or fansites) waiting for/following their biases at the airports should continue to be accepted across the K-Pop culture.
i see a lot of carats point figures at pledis and the bodyguards when it comes to the airport, and of course it is their job to protect the members, but there should never be that many people following the members, in this case jun, in the first place. fans are the problem
