TWICE‘s Dahyun and Jeongyeon recently filmed with Jung Hyung Don, where they analyzed the lyrics to their recent comeback, “Talk that Talk.” In the video, Jung Hyung Don was doing his best to troll the members teasingly but was surprised by Dahyun and Jeongyeon’s quick wit in defending the lyrics.
For instance, Jung Hyung Don is confused about why the lyric “Show me yourself” comes before “Let me know you.” He teasingly argues that the order is illogical for a relationship.
Jung Hyung Don: This part is going to be problematic.
Jeongyeon: Don’t you think your songs have more problems?
Jung Hyung Don: Don’t say that, people are going to search for them.
Similarly, the comedian asks why the lyrics would suggest that TWICE’s gaze is rolling rather than moving in a more typical direction when they look at ONCE.
Jung Hyung Don: Shouldn’t it be “up and down” or “side to side?”
Dahyun: “Up and down” sounds too firm. But “roll” sounds very soft.
Jung Hyung Don: I should’ve invited someone not good at talking just like you, Jeongyeon.
Jeongyeon: That’s why I brought Dahyun today.
Of course, all the teasing isn’t meant to be taken seriously, with Jung Hyung Don actually specifying in his caption that he’s friends with TWICE and had fun trying to troll them.
I personally really adore TWICE 🙂 So good to see you, girls!
Everyone renewed the contract and came back with the 11th EP, congratulations!
So! I was gonna troll hard their title song “Talk that Talk”…!
What happened to them?! They’re mentally so strong now! lol
It’s been so long since I had this hardcore argument. haha
Wow! It was seriously tough!
— Jung Hyung Don
But fans were especially amused by one of Jeongyeon’s retorts to Jung Hyung Don suggesting that the lyrics didn’t make sense, teasing that the timeline of the relationship between TWICE and ONCE in the song wasn’t logical.
Jung Hyung Don: When do you actually start then? Jihyo said “now now let’s get started” in the first verse. Second verse is almost finished and you haven’t started it yet!
Jeongyeon: The meaning of “start” is different.
Jung Hyung Don: What’s that?
Jeongyeon: In the first verse, it means “shall we get to know each other?” And in the second verse, because we now know each other, let’s move on to the next step. “Shall we start love?“
Jeongyeon’s interpretation still didn’t make sense to Jung Hyung Don, who claimed that both parties in the relationship should be aware by that point.
Jung Hyung Don: But if you guys love each other, don’t you think you should know that already?
And Jeongyeon didn’t hold back in pointing out his logic’s flaws, causing everyone to laugh at her response.
Jeongyeon: Do you know everything about your wife…?
Jung Hyung Don: Stop!
Fans are understandably praising Jeongyeon for being “so real” with her retort.

Ultimately, Jeongyeon and Dahyun definitely proved that they’re variety show experts with how they handled Jung Hyung Don’s teasing trolling.
This is what I was referring to when I said that she can hold her ground with the hosts of the show she’s in. In this instance, he attempted and she retaliated. + she knows when she is supposed to do so as well. https://t.co/rKMinViyf6
