In a statement from YG Entertainment to media outlet Mydaily, the company confirmed an offer was made to BLACKPINK for the special performance.

South Korea and the United States are reportedly planning a joint cultural event ahead of Yoon Suk Yeol’s visit to the United States in April. BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga have been invited to the event, and the theme of the event is the 70th anniversary of Korea and the United States’ alliance.
