Netizens Compare LE SSERAFIM Chaewon’s Current Style To Her Styling With IZ*ONE

LE SSERAFIM has officially made their first comeback with their title track, “ANTIFRAGILE.” Ahead of the release of their second mini-album of the same name, they released their new “ANTIFRAGILE” music video showcasing the members’ unique style.

LE SSERAFIM’s leader, Chaewon, first properly appeared in front of fans in 2018 as a contestant on the idol survival show Produce 48.

She finished the show ranked in 10th place, earning a spot in the group IZ*ONE.

In IZ*ONE, Chaewon was known for her fairy-like visuals. During IZ*ONE’s first single promotions for “La Vie En Rose,” Chaewon had long, wavy red hair, looking charming with peachy makeup and wispy bangs.

During the group’s promotions for their second single, “Violeta,” Chaewon’s hair color had faded to a pretty light pink color, and her makeup featured rosy pinks for a princess-like look.

For the group’s third Korean single, “Fiesta,” Chaewon drastically changed her appearance and had a concept closer to the one she rocks with LE SSERAFIM today.

The charismatic idol went viral for her bold new look with short wavy red hair, giving her a fiercer edge.

During promotions for their fourth Korean single, “Secret Story of the Swan,” Chaewon showcased her duality by sporting both long and short red hair.

For IZ*ONE’s final single, “Panorama,” Chaewon again boldly switched up her look, appearing with long, jet-black hair.

After IZ*ONE disbanded in 2021, fans eagerly awaited updates from the idol on what she had planned for her future.

In March of this year, Source Music, a subsidiary of HYBE Labels, announced that Chaewon and her former fellow IZ*ONE member Sakura would join the company to debut as a member of Source Music’s first girl group, LE SSERAFIM.

When LE SSERAFIM made their debut, Chaewon appeared with a fierce new look, departing from her softer style with IZ*ONE and looking equally as incredible with her fashion-forward style.

Chaewon debuted a blunt bob, giving her an edgier look, fitting for the group’s fearless and confident concept.

Chaewon perfectly embodied the group’s trend-setting image, appearing confident and charismatic from the concept trailers to the stage.

With LE SSERAFIM’s second single, “ANTIFRAGILE,” Chaewon’s image remained similar, with the exception of peachy peekaboo highlights in her hair.

Netizens compared her style in both groups, seemingly agreeing that her styling in IZ*ONE was charming, but her style with LE SSERAFIM allows her to stand out more and shine on stage.

Netizens were torn over which look they liked better, but regardless of their answer, they agreed the adaptable idol looks incredible in any style!

  • I like both styles.
  • She’s good at performing so she stood out even in IZ*ONE.
  • She didn’t really stand out in IZ*ONE but in LE SSERAFIM she has a unique charisma that makes her stand out.
  • Her image is stronger in LE SSERAFIM and has more of a trendy style.
  • My personal preference is IZ*ONE but she stands out more in LE SSERAFIM.
  • She looks so lovely with the orange bob hair cut.
  • Her black bob hair cut looks cool.
  • She has more of a personality in LE SSERAFIM.
