A female K-Pop duo once ended up disbanding due to their disputes with each other.

In 2016, Mole Entertainment debuted a female duo called CoCoSoRi, named after the two members CoCo and SoRi. CoCo previously debuted as a member of Blady, while SoRi had previous experience as an actress.

The duo’s interesting concepts attracted attention, releasing “Dark Circle” and “Exquisite” in 2016.

Between the two idols, they competed in three different survival shows in 2016 and 2017, while CoCo made her solo debut in May 2017. After a successful crowd-funding project in early 2018, the group finally released their first single-album.

Each of the idols were able to successfully crowdfund for their solo releases that same year, which was the beginning of the end of the duo.

During a livestream, CoCo made multiple claims against the company, alleging that they did not inform her of SoRi’s solo debut and that they invested more money into her debut than was crowdfunded.

Mole would go on to refute these allegations in a Facebook post, explaining that several issues, including the lack of fulfillment of CoCo’s promised perks from crowdfunding were the idol’s fault. The company offered to allow CoCo to apologize, but with her refusal, promised legal action for the variety of defamation of SoRi and Mole, and confirmed their disbandment.

After disbandment, SoRi appeared on several variety and reality shows including Travel in Japan That Even Japanese Don’t Know, while continuing her solo career. She made a brief retirement before appearing in a series based on her own life.

These days SoRi is active as a YouTuber and influencer, sharing lifestyle content.

CoCo remained active on her YouTube channel (once mentioning that she had “success” against Mole in their lawsuit), and saw a spike in public interest following her appearance on the dating show Transit Love. She was also alleged to have been being sponsored by a rich businessman.
