She had a very successful adult career!
While many K-Pop idols make a long career out of the job, some decide it is not for them. After leaving that part of the industry, some stick around as dancers or producers, while others take on completely different jobs or attend school.
Former Cube Entertainment Idol Announces His Retirement From Celebrity Life
One former idol’s career change after leaving her group would likely surprise many due to the sexual nature of her new job, as not many former K-Pop stars have gone in this direction.
The girl group BaBa debuted on March 14, 2015, with a six-member lineup and the track “Sergeant Kim’s Return From Vietnam.”
Before disbandment, the group underwent many member line-up changes, including adding four members in 2017. Returning the group to six, this new line-up included member Seungha, who officially debuted with the group’s 2018 release.
Seungha (and four other members) left the group just months later, citing an injury as the cause. After this time, the former idol initially sought work as an advertising model but, at the suggestion of a CEO during a meeting, looked into appearing in adult films.
After her adult debut, which was benefited by her former idol status, she quickly appeared in over 40 videos in less than three months.
Seungha once shared that she made quite a “paid the price of a domestic sedan” as her appearance fee.
After losing interest in the industry, she stopped appearing in films. She was initially active on AfreecaTV as a BJ but is currently streaming on the Bigo platform as Ji Yu.
Her time as an idol seems to have come in handy even to this day, as she performed at the BIGO Awards Gala 2024.
