She has a personal connection to it.
Red Velvet‘s talented main vocalist Wendy has made her first official solo comeback after making her solo debut in April 2021.
Wendy released her long-awaited second solo mini-album, Wish You Hell, on March 12, 2024.
To celebrate the release, she appeared on the talk show Curator, where she answered host HoonD‘s questions about her solo promotions, her fellow group members, her childhood, and more.
During the episode, she spoke about her incredibly popular short haircut, which went viral and earned the name “Wendy cut” for how effortlessly the chic style suited her.
Wendy revealed that her hairstylist felt the public’s reaction to the hairstyle was good, leading her to nickname it the “Wendy cut.”
The hairstyle was so popular that Wendy hilariously admitted she’d become “fixated” on it, trying different variations of it for “seven or eight years.”
In December 2022, Wendy took the viral hairstyle to the next level when she debuted what fans quickly named the “Wendy Cut 2.0.”
