Chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving, is the biggest holiday in South Korea, and it falls on the third week of October every year. Joshua Kwon, a senior marketing manager at Seventeen magazine, celebrated Chuseok in the Philippines this year but didn’t tell anyone about it on social media. Why? Because he wanted to keep it a secret from his followers until he returned to the United States.However, SEVENTEEN’s Joshua, currently in the Philippines for his Chuseok holiday, celebrated the holiday privately with his friends. However, due to the strict censorship laws in Korea, Filo couldn’t join him in secret.

SEVENTEEN’s Joshua celebrated Chuseok in the Philippines, but Filo CARATs kept it secret! The K-pop star went on a vacation with his parents and siblings to the Southeast Asian country earlier this month, and while there, he reportedly participated in a traditional Korean festival.
According to reports, Joshua and his family attended a performance by the Samseonggak Dance Troupe and then dined on traditional Korean dishes like bibimbap. It’s unclear if Filo was also in attendance, though she was spotted at a different festival earlier that day.
This isn’t the first time that SEVENTEEN members have holidayed together. Earlier this year, they all went on vacation to Thailand together. We hope to see more of these tight groupings in the future!

The two members announced they had left their agencies, JYP Entertainment and Amuse Inc. The boys shared some heartfelt words in the post about why they decided to go and what the future holds.
Joshua explained that he felt he was suffocating under the pressures of being a K-pop idol. He said, “I wanted to do something I could be proud of, so I talked to my parents about it, and we agreed that it was time for me to have some control over my career.”
Filo echoed similar sentiments, saying that he was also looking for more freedom regarding his music. Although I’ve constantly wanted to write my music, I was always being told what to do at JYP Entertainment. However, I wanted more editorial control over my work to make better songs.

He explained that he and Filo had planned to go on a journey together, but Filo didn’t want to tell anyone about it until after the holiday. So, Joshua’s friends and family were completely surprised when he showed up in their hometown for Chuseok!The boys spent the week partying with their fellow K-pop fans and soaking up the local culture. Back Concert!
SEVENTEEN’s Joshua and Filo made a surprise return to Korea for their comeback concert on Chuseok! The two idols toured South Korea for the first time in two years and performed at various locations, including the Gyeongbuk Palace and the National Folk Museum.
However, In his last year of high school, Joshua said, “I wanted to come back for Chuseok so that I could see my fans again. I’m so grateful that my fans came out to support us.”
Filo added, “It feels excellent to be back in Korea. I hope we can give our fans a good show this time.”
The duo will hold their comeback concert on September 16 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul.

Since their last performance in Manila, Filo and Joshua have kept their fans in the dark about the progress of their comeback. However, they finally revealed that they are currently in the process of making a new album and preparing for their Come Back Concert!
The two boys showed off some of their new tracks during their performance at the Gocheok Sky Dome on September 18. They also invited Fanclub members to join them on stage for exceptional performance.
Joshua has also been filming his new “My Love From Another Star” series in Seoul. He will be back in Korea later this month to continue filming.
