Netizens love it when they hear stories about idols from different groups meeting up, and considering that Mingyu is a social butterfly, it’s not surprising to see him with other idols.

A fan shared that while at a restaurant in Korea, they spotted SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu and Jeonghan with ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo and MONSTA X‘s Hyungwon.

Yet, while photos with descriptions of meeting idols normally don’t cause any concerns for privacy, netizens raised concerns after a video of the idols was shared online. Although the account that shared the video didn’t take the photo, they shared one uploaded by a netizen.

While it wasn’t surprising that netizens couldn’t get enough of seeing idols from three groups together, most of the comments under the reposted video on Twitter were angry.

In particular, they noticed that while Mingyu was smiling throughout the video, his expression dropped when he seemingly spotted that he was being recorded. For many, it was obvious that Mingyu felt uncomfortable as he quickly seemed to get into the car.

When the video was shared, netizens shared their anger about it being shared publically, especially when it was a private schedule.

In particular, other fans have shared how open Mingyu is about sharing moments with his friends if he wants to.

So, many believed they should understand that if he wanted to share the meeting with his friends, they should’ve waited for a photo or for him to mention it.

While the life of a K-Pop idol means people will be watching you even during private schedules, many believe that Mingyu’s expression should’ve been a sign not to share any videos. Although netizens love seeing idols from different groups hanging out with others, many fans believe it shouldn’t be shared without permission.
